Running Academic Colleges Reports

How do I run an Academic Colleges Report in InfoView?

Environment

Resolution

You may search for reports with keywords in the top right search box.
Remember that you will only want to do a single, short click on a folder. A long click, or holding down the mouse button can cause the folder to open or start a report that you did not intend to run.
  1. Log into InfoView using NetID and password.
  2. Click Home tab.
  3. Click Folders.
  4. Expand (click >) Public Folders
  5. Expand (click >) WKU Campus Community
  6. Expand (click >) Academic Colleges.
  7. Click desired subfolder (ex., Arts & Letters or Library).
  8. Right click Title of desired report or click the ellipsis ( ) for the report and select Schedule.
  9. Click Schedule.
  10. Change Prompts under Report Features at the top.
  11. Click Edit Values... button.
  12. Fill out parameters on Enter Prompt Values pop-up.
    Note: Each report can have its own prompts.
    Example Prompts
    • Dept Code (listed in STVDEPT in Banner).
    • Major/Minor Code (listed in STVMAJR in Banner).
    • Subject Code (listed in STVSUBJ in Banner).
    • Term Code.
  13. Click OK.
  14. Click Schedule.
  15. You are redirected to History screen showing Instance Time, Title, Status, Type, Locale, and Parameters.
  16. Wait for your report Status to read Success.
    Note: If the Status remains Pending, click Refresh icon by Page at the top right.
  17. Click on report's Title under Instance Time.
  18. When finished, close the report by clicking the icon next to the report's title. 
Example 1: Running ACAD STND- Students by term and dept (dw) Report

Gives a listing of every student in a department, their name, address, phone, and other information.

 

  1. Click Arts & Letters in left panel.
  2. Right click ACAD STND- Students by term and dept (dw).
  3. Right click Title of desired report or click the ellipsis ( ) for the report.
  4. Change Prompts under Report Features at the top.
  5. Click Edit Values... button.
  6. Enter desired Dept Code (ex., ENG).
  7. Enter desired Term Code, in format of year and semester code (ex., Fall 2022 is 202230).
    • Winter Term Code = 05
    • Spring Term Code = 10
    • Summer Term Code = 20
    • Fall Term Code = 30
  8. Click OK.
  9. Optionally:
    1. Change Formats under Report Features as needed.
    2. Select different Format Options for Selected Document drop down option.
  10. Click Schedule.
Example 2: Running DATA- Students by major and GPA (dw) Report

 

  1. Click Academic Colleges in left panel.
  2. Right click DATA- Student by major and GPA (dw).
  3. Right click Title of desired report or click the ellipsis ( ) for the report.
  4. Change Prompts under Report Features at the top.
  5. Click Edit Values... button.
  6. Enter desired Term Code, in format of year and semester code (ex., Fall 2022 is 202230).
    • Winter Term Code = 05
    • Spring Term Code = 10
    • Summer Term Code = 20
    • Fall Term Code = 30
  7. Enter desired >= GPA (ex., 3.0).
  8. Enter desired Major/Minor Codes and clicking  (ex., 008 for English).
    Note: You may enter multiple codes by repeating the above step.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Optionally:
    1. Change Formats under Report Features as needed.
  11. Click Schedule.
