Changing Window Size on Application Startup

How do I configure an application to launch the window size normally, minimized, or maximized?

  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8.x
  • Windows 10

Resolution

Most applications will have an associated shortcut created for easy access from the desktop. If the size of the window is not satisfactory, you can specify a different size by changing the setting in the shortcut.

  1. Locate the shortcut, typically on the desktop, right-click and select properties. 
  2. Select the Shortcut tab.
  3. Specify a different setting under Run:
