Issue/Question
When I try to turn on my computer, nothing happens or the power light blinks orange/amber.
Environment
- Dell OptiPlex 7000 Series
- OptiPlex 7040
- OptiPlex 7050
- OptiPlex 7440
Cause
There appears to be an issue with some DisplayPort cables. Certain ones, if connected when the power button is pressed, the computer will not boot. The computer may still fail to boot even after removing the cable(s).
Resolution
An onsite visit is needed. Please contact the ITS Service Desk.
