Sending Duplicate Attachments

Issue/Question

When sending a new email that contains an attachment, the recipient of the email receives two attachments instead of one.  One attachment is corrupt but the other one is valid.

Cause

The sender of the email has chosen the attachment from the Recent Files list versus browsing to the file via File Explorer. The sender will need to disable the Adobe Send and Track Add-in.

Resolution

  1. Click File.
  2. Click Options.
  3. Click Add-ins.
  4. Click Go.
  5. Highlight the Adobe Send and Track add-in and Remove.
  6. Restart Outlook for changes to take effect.
