Accessing Blackboard Attendance Tools

Issue/Question

Where do I go to record daily attendance or modify Attendance settings in Blackboard? 

Environment

• Blackboard Ultra

Resolution

1. Navigate to Blackboard course site. 
2. Select Content. 
3. Beneath Details & Actions (right), click Attendance.
4. Click one of the following icons within the corresponding column to mark student attendance:
   • Present:  
   • Late:  
   • Absent  
   • Excused:  
5. Click the Settings icon in the top right to:
   • Edit attendance values
   • Toggle ON/OFF Include Excused in calculations
   • Toggle ON/OFF using attendance as a grade
   • Select grading scale
   • Remove Attendance
