Resetting Android Device to Factory Settings

How do I restore my Android device to factory settings?

This will remove all personal settings and accounts from the device; this action cannot be undone.
  1. Open  Settings.
  2. If you are selling/giving away your device, or having it serviced, tap Accounts and backup. Tap Manage accounts. Remove any accounts listed.
  3. Return to the main settings page.
  4. Select General management.
  5. Select Reset.
  6. Tap Factory data reset.
  7. Tap Reset Device.
  8. Your device may have additional prompts. Once all of them have been confirmed, your device will reboot and erase its content.
