How do I highlight text in a PDF document?

Environment

  • Adobe Acrobat X

Resolution

  1. Select Comment from the toolbar.
  2. Select the Highlight Text tool.
  3. Click and drag to select text to highlight.

Note: Some PDF documents have security features enabled to prevent changes being made to the original document. In these situations, the Highlight Text tool, along with the other editing tools, cannot be used.
