Issue/Question
When attempting to visit a secure website I receive a message that says:
Secure Connection Failed
Cause
e-Rewards Plus was could have been recently installed on the computer. e-Rewards Plus installs it's own root certificate so that it can eavesdrop on secure connections and share private information with the market research company that created it.
Some websites are designed to block this insecure connection in order to protect their visitor's private information.
Resolution
e-Rewards Plus is an intrusive but not malicious spyware program. Removing the program by following the steps listed in the article related article Uninstalling a Program resolves the issue.
