Issue/Question
How can I allow students a choice between two assignments either based on group our course section membership without adversely affecting the total points available in the course?
Environment
Cause
An instructor may want students in one group to complete a particular assignment and students of another group to complete a different assignment that has a second column in Grade Center.
Resolution
The best method is to manually exempt all students from the assignment they are not expected to complete. This will adjust the total points available to them.
