Issue/Question
How do I create and edit a numbered list in Microsoft Word 2016?
Environment
Microsoft Word 2016
Resolution
Type in the list of items while pressing the
Enter
key after each item.
Highlight the items you wish to bullet or number.
In the Home tab, under Paragraph, select the
Bullets
icon or the
Numbering
icon.
Your list should now be numbered or bulleted.
You can add more items to your list by pressing the
Enter
key at the end of the previous item.
Pressing
Shift+Enter
will place your text at the next line without creating a new number or bullet.
