Too Many Failed Password Reset Attempts

Issue/Question

I receive the following error message when attempting to reset a password or PIN from the WKU Accounts and Logins page:

Too Many Failed Attempts.
You have failed to provide the correct credentials too many times. If you continue to have problems, you will need to contact the ITS Service Desk at (270) 745-7000 for support. (ID: 613510)

Environment

Cause

After 5 incorrect attempts at answering the security question on the accounts page the account is locked from further reset attempts.

Resolution

An ITS Service Desk Consultant will need to reset your attempts. Please contact the ITS Service Desk.
