Removing Microsoft Teams from Start-Up

Issue/Question

How do I stop Microsoft Teams from trying to launch each time I boot my computer?

Environment

  • Windows 10

Cause

Microsoft Teams is not an active part of WKU's Office365 license; however, by default Microsoft Teams is enabled in start-up by Microsoft's Office365 installation package. Since the license is inactive, you will receive a prompt at each reboot to select a different Microsoft Teams account.

Resolution

  1. Click
  2. Type Settings and click Settings App.
  3. Click Apps.
  4. Click Startup on the left side.
  5. Click the toggle slider next to Microsoft Teams to Off.
