Enabling Outlook Compact Layout

Issue/Question

My inbox in Outlook looks different from normal, how do I change it back?

Environment

• Office 2019
  • Outlook 2019

Resolution

1. Open Outlook and select the View from the ribbon. 
2. Select View Settings.
3. Select Other Settings.
4. Under the Other Options section, ensure Use compact layout in widths smaller than is checked. Outlook should now be in compact mode.
