How do I convert a PowerPoint presentation into a Word document?

Environment

Microsoft PowerPoint
Microsoft Word

Resolution

Windows

Open presentation in PowerPoint.
Click File.
Click Export.
Click Create Handouts.
Click Create Handouts on right pane.
In Send to Microsoft Word dialog, select desired page layout.
Click OK. Your presentation will open in Word.
Click File.
Click Save As to save your PowerPoint presentation as a Word document.

Mac

Open presentation in PowerPoint.
Click File.
Click Export...
In Export As dialog box, provide file name and choose save location.
Under File Format, select PDF.
Click Export.
Open Microsoft Word.
Click Open...
Select your PDF document and click Open.
Click File.
Click Save As... to save your PowerPoint presentation as a Word document.
