USB Webcam Not Available in Zoom

Issue/Question

I can't see a USB webcam under camera options in Zoom Meeting.

Environment

  • Zoom
  • MacOS
  • Windows

Resolution

  1. Leave meeting by clicking End in bottom toolbar. If you are not host, select Leave Meeting to avoid ending session for other participants.
  2. Unplug USB webcam from computer.
  3. Plug USB webcam back into computer.
  4. Open Zoom Client and select Join.
  5. Enter Meeting ID provided by host and click Join.
  6. In meeting, click up arrow ( ^ ) next to Start Video.
  7. Select USB webcam from available camera options.

Note: If you are on a Mac and are still having difficulty accessing your webcam, check your operating system permissions to confirm that Zoom has access to the camera.
