Requesting a Configuration Refresh

Issue/Question

How do I request a configuration update to Cisco Jabber?

Environment

• Windows
• macOS
• Android
• iOS

Cause

If ITS performs changes to your device to add/remove a feature, a configuration change may be required.

Resolution

Windows

1. Click the cogwheel  in the top right of the application.
2. Click Help.
3. Click Refresh Configuration.
4. Find the Cisco Jabber icon in the system tray (icons in the bottom right of the Windows taskbar).
5. Right click the Cisco Jabber icon and select Exit Cisco Jabber.
6. Re-open Cisco Jabber and log back in.
7. The configuration refresh has been completed.

macOS

1. From the main menu, click Help.
2. Click Refresh Configuration.
3. Right click Cisco Jabber in the dock.
4. Click quit.
5. Re-open Cisco Jabber and log back in.
6. The configuration refresh has been completed.

Android/iOS

1. Tap your initials in the top left of the screen.
2. Tap settings.
3. Scroll to the very bottom and tap configuration.
4. Tap Refresh Configuration.
5. Close Cisco Jabber and reopen the app.
6. Log back into the app.
7. The configuration refresh has been completed.
