How do I install an extension for Google Chrome?

Environment

  • Google Chrome

Resolution

If Extension is in the Google Chrome Web Store

  1. Click menu button .
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Extensions.
  4. Click Chrome Web Store link in the left menu.
  5. Search for the extension.
  6. Click Add to Chrome.

If Extension is not Signed or not in the Chrome Web Store

  1. Download the extension that you need.
  2. Click menu button .
  3. Click Extensions.
  4. Drag and drop the extension file into the Extensions page of Chrome.
  5. Accept the Terms of Use for the extension.

Note: If the extension is unsigned or in beta mode then you may have to enable Developer Mode on the extensions page for Chrome.
