Print Allocation per Academic Year

Issue/Question

How much print allocation do I get each academic year?

Resolution

Students

  • All WKU students (full-time, part-time, and graduate) have a print allocation of $10.00 for the academic year.
  • Any unused portion does not roll over into next year’s allocation.
  • The cost per black and white impression is $0.10. The cost per color page is $0.50.
  • Two sided printing counts as two impressions/pages.
  • New incoming students for the Fall term receive print allocations one week before the fall semester begins.
  • New incoming students for the Winter or Spring terms receive print allocations on the first day Winter term starts.
  • New incoming students at any other time (e.g. mid-semester) receive print allocations the day following course enrollment

Employees

  • WKU Employees are not issued an annual print allocation, but can use Big Red Dollars. See this article for more information.
  • The cost per black and white impression is $0.10. The cost per color page is $0.50.
