Viewing Respondus Lockdown Browser Test Feedback

Issue/Question

Can students view test feedback for assessments in Blackboard that require the Respondus Lockdown Browser?

Resolution

The following conditions must be met for a student to view test feedback for a Blackboard assessment requiring Respondus Lockdown Browser:

  1. Student must access assessment using Respondus Lockdown Browser.
  2. Instructor must have test results and feedback options selected for the assessment.

If condition 1 is not met, students will receive the following error message:

You cannot review the assessment results without using Respondus LockDown Browser.

If condition 2 is not met, instructors have several Test Options listed in Blackboard under Show Test Results and Feedback to Students section for a course assessment that can control when and what feedback a student is allowed to view.

For example, choosing One-time View will only give students ability to view selected test results and feedback once.  Once an assessment attempt is submitted, students have one opportunity to view test results and feedback.  Once they close the assessment window, they lose this ability - even if they chose not to view test results and feedback initially.

Note: As with any password-protected Blackboard assessment, student can always view selected test results and feedback for a password restricted Respondus Lockdown Browser assessment without being prompted for a password.  In a proctored environment, it is recommended to choose the One-time View feedback option when cheating or answer sharing is a concern.
