Viewing Test Feedback

Issue/Question

Can student's view test feedback for assessments in Blackboard that require the Respondus Lockdown Browser?

Resolution

The following conditions must be met in order for a student to view test feedback for a Blackboard assessment that requires the Respondus Lockdown Browser.

  1. The student must access the assessment using the Respondus Lockdown Browser.
  2. The instructor must have test results and feedback options selected for the assessment.

If condition 1 is not met, students will receive the following error message:

You cannot review the assessment results without using Respondus LockDown Browser.

For condition 2, instructors have several Test Options listed in Blackboard under the Show Test Results and Feedback to Students section for a course assessment that can control when and what feedback a student is allowed to view. For example, choosing One-time View will only give students the ability to view the selected test results and feedback one time. Once an assessment attempt is submitted, students have one opportunity to view test results and feedback. Once they close the assessment window, they lose this ability - even if they chose not to view the test results and feedback initially.

Note: As with any password protected Blackboard assessment, student can always view the selected test results and feedback for a password restricted Respondus Lockdown Browser assessment without being prompted for a password. In a proctored environment, it is recommended to choose the One-time View feedback option when cheating or answer sharing is a concern.
