How do I display an on-screen keyboard?

Cause

You can use the on-screen keyboard if your hardware keyboard has trouble or stops working.

Resolution

1. Open System Preferences.
2. Click Keyboard.
3. Select the Keyboard tab.
4. Check the box next to Show Keyboard, Emoji, & Symbol Viewers in menu bar.
5. On the menu bar, click the new Keyboard Viewer icon.
6. Click Show Keyboard Viewer.
