Receiving Presentation Unavailable Error


When I click a Mediasite link, either within or outside of Blackboard, I receive the following message:

Mediasite Player: The requested presentation is currently unavailable.  Please try again later. Contact the system administrator if the problem persists.


 Note: This error may also occur if the video has been made public and is still being processed after being recorded.

Make sure the owner of the video has it set to Viewable instead of Private. By default, all recordings are set to Private

To change to the video to Viewable, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Mediasite Portal.
  2. Click the video you would like to make viewable.
  3. On the panel to the right of the video move the slider to the Who Can View? section to My Organization.
