How do I connect my Amazon Echo to the internet?

Resolution

Wi-Fi Connection

  1. Connect to WKU-Wireless in System Settings.
  2. You should now be connected to WKU-WIRELESS. If you are still unable to use the wireless network successfully please locate the MAC address. Follow the steps below to locate the MAC address:
    1. In the Alexa app, open the left navigation panel 
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Tap Device Settings.
    4. Scroll down and tap About
    5. The MAC address will be listed there. 
      Note: If your MAC address is shown here, you may skip to step 10. If not, or if you need to register a new device, continue with step 6. 
    6. Select your device and then select Update Wi-Fi. Or, If you're adding a new device to your account, select Set up a new device instead.
    7. On your Echo device, press and hold the Action button until the light ring changes to orange. Your mobile device will then connect to your Echo device.
    8. A list of available Wi-Fi networks appear in the app.
    9. Tap Any Wi-Fi network. Scroll down on this screen until you see the MAC address.
    10. With your MAC address ready, please submit an online request or contact the ITS Service Desk.
