Receiving Support for Donated Computers

Issue/Question

My department has received a computer(s) from a donor. Will ITS support it?

Resolution

1. A computer must first have an Inventory Control Number before it can be considered for support. To obtain an ICN, contact Inventory Control at 270-745-7017 to complete this process. They will need various machine information, such as make, model, and serial number/service tag, as well as an invoice or proof of donation declaring the value of the computer.
2. Once an ICN has been assigned, ITS will evaluate the machine to ensure it can be supported.
