Creating WKU Style Tables in the WYSIWYG Editor

Issue/Question

How do I use the WKU styles to make a table responsive in Web CMS?

Environment

  • Web CMS

Cause

Tables inserted using the WYSIWYG editor do not include any styles by default and are not responsive. Table heading rows and cells must also be defined to use the heading styles.

Resolution

Important: Do not use tables to create multi-column layouts. To create columns, use Snippets.

Add a Table Style

  1. Right click anywhere inside a table using the WYSIWYG editor.
  2. Select Table Properties from the pop-up menu.
  3. In the Table Properties dialog, select a WKU Table class from the Class dropdown list.
  4. Click OK.

Create a Header Row

  1. Right click the row you want to be a table header row.
  2. Hover over Row in the pop-up menu and select Row Properties.
  3. Change the Row type dropdown to Header.
  4. Click OK.

Create a Table Header Cell

  1. Highlight the cells you want to be table headers and right click.
  2. Hover over Cell in the pop-up menu and select Cell Properties.
  3. Change the Cell type dropdown to Header Cell.
