Adding a Mashup in a Description

Issue/Question

How do I add a Mashup to a Discussion Board or Forum description?

Environment

  • Blackboard
    • Discussion Board
      • Instructors

Cause

The Mashup feature in Blackboard allows the viewing and sharing of media content from external websites. 

Resolution

  1. Ensure that Edit Mode is turned on.
  2. Navigate to the list of Discussion Boards or Forums
  3. Click the  (down arrow) to the right of the desired Discussion Board or Forum.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. In the top of the Description box, click  (Show more​).
  6. Click Mashups.
  7. You can now choose to create a Mashup from Mediastie Presentations, Mediasite Catalogs, YouTube Video, SlideShare Presentation, or Flickr Photo.
