How do I upload a banner for my Blackboard course?
Resolution
Minimum size for Blackboard course site banners is 1200 x 240px. Maximum size is 10.24MB. An image ratio of 5:1 is ideal.
It is not recommended to use banner images with text for accessibility purposes. If banners with text are necessary, please enter the text in the Alternative text field or check the box next to Mark the image as decorative in step 8.
- Open Blackbaord course site.
- From Content tab, select floating at top right of the banner.
- Select next to Course Image.
- Beneath Image Source, select upload from Device or Stock images from Unsplash.
- Locate desired image.
- Click Next.
- Use drag and zoom tools to reposition image as desired.
- Click Save to upload image.
Note: If banner image contains non-decorative text, please enter descriptive text in Alternative text field OR check Mark image as decorative.
- If desired, you may now toggle Course Banner images off.
- Click Save to save overall changes.
