How do I check to see if the computer I am using has a built in microphone?

Windows 7+
Resolution
Right click the
Volume Icon
.
Click
Recording devices
.
Check to see if any device is labeled as
Microphone
.
Microphone
device listed:
If the device says
Not plugged in
then an external microphone is needed.
If the device says
Disabled
, right click the device and click
Enable
.
Microphone
device not listed:
Right click white space and click
Show Disabled Devices
.
If
Microphone
device appears then follow steps for device listed.
