When I click the green maximize button the application goes to full screen in its own space.
Environment
Cause
The maximize behavior changed in OS X El Capitan.
Resolution
Method 1
Double-click on the title bar to maximize the window without going full-screen.
Method 2
Hold down the Option key while clicking on the green maximize button to maximize the window without going full-screen.
