How can I install Google Chrome if the normal install fails, or if I need an offline installation?
Cause
The normal installer for Google Chrome is an online installer, meaning that a small application downloads Chrome for the user, and then installs it for them. If this installation fails, then a standalone (offline) installer will be beneficial.
Resolution
- Navigate to the Chrome standalone installer found here.
- Click on Download Chrome.
- Run the downloaded file to begin installation.
