Can a Guest Account be added to my departmental Active Directory group or a custom shared drive?
Resolution
Guest Accounts cannot be added to Active Directory groups or custom shared drives.
If a non-WKU person needs access to departmental computers and shared drives, contact Human Resources to have this person added to Banner as an Active Non-Employee.
Active Non-Employees are automatically issued WKU Accounts which can be added to Active Directory groups. Additionally, email accounts may be enabled for these upon request.
