Accessing Web Apps via SFTP

Issue/Question

How do I access files under a Web Apps directory using SFTP?

Environment

Resolution

You must first complete the Web Apps User Agreement, have VPN access, and have permission granted to access Web Apps directory in question.  Please refer to the Related Articles section for more information.
  1. Connected to VPN (Web Apps server is inaccessible via SFTP otherwise [refer to the Related Articles section for more information]).
  2. Log into OU Add-Ons.
  3. Click WebApps link.
  4. Click Web Apps link again.
  5. You should see a list of Web Apps folders to which you have access.
  6. Locate appropriate Web Apps folder from list and click associated Preview WebApp (  ) icon under Action column.
  7. You should now see SFTP connection information under Step 2: Connect with SFTP section of page; you can use this information with the SFTP client of your choice.
