Accessing Web Apps via SFTP

How do I access files, etc. under a Web Apps directory?

Environment

• Web Apps (webapps.wku.edu)

Resolution

 Note: If you have not already completed the Web Apps User Agreement, have VPN access, or have not been granted access to the Web Apps directory in question, you must first do so. Please refer to the Related Articles section for more information.

1. Ensure you are connected to the VPN, the Web Apps server is not accessible via SFTP otherwise (refer to the Related Articles section for more information).
2. Log into OU Add-Ons.
3. Click the WebApps link.
4. Again, click the Web Apps link.
5. You should now see a list of Web Apps folders to which you have access.
6. Locate the appropriate Web Apps folder from the list and click the associated Preview WebApp (  ) icon under the Action column.
7. You should now see the SFTP connection information under the Step 2: Connect with SFTP section of the page; you can use this information with the SFTP client of your choice.
