Inbox Rules Not Transferred After Upgrade

Issue/Question

I recently upgraded my computer to Windows 10 and my email inbox rules did not transfer to Outlook 2019.

Environment

  • Outlook 2019

Cause

The inbox rules are still present but not enabled.

Resolution

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click on the Home tab.
  3. Under Move, click Rules.
  4. Click Manage Rules & Alerts.
  5. Double-click on the specified rule.
  6. Uncheck On this computer only.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. Click Apply.
