Enabling ClickOnce Support

Issue/Question

I am trying to run an application from Microsoft Edge, but the application will not launch nor install. 

Environment

  • Microsoft Edge

Cause

Some versions of Microsoft Edge do not have the ClickOnce Support option enabled, thus leaving certain applications unable to run or install. 

Resolution

  1. Open Edge
  2. In the web address bar, type in the following: edge://flags
  3. Press Enter
  4. Find the option for ClickOnce Support
  5. Select Enabled from the dropdown menu
  6. Close Edge and reopen it to complete this change.
