Plugged In and Not Charging

Issue/Question

My laptop is no longer charging and the battery indicator in the system tray states:

 Plugged in, not charging.

Environment

• Laptop

Cause

The power cord is not entirely plugged into the laptop or the battery is failing. 

Resolution

1. Disconnect the power cord from the laptop.
2. Connect power cord to laptop.
