Why does File Explorer sometimes run sluggishly or crash?
Environment
Cause
Intermittent issues and crashing within File Explorer can often be resolved by clearing File Explorer History.
Resolution
- Click Start.
- Type
File Explorer Options and open application.
- Click Clear in Privacy section.
- Click OK.
- Restart your machine.
