How do I send a notification in a ticket that includes an attachment, so clients will see attachment in an email?
Environment
Resolution
- Click the ticket you want to notify someone with the attachment.
- Click Actions .
- Click Update.
- Enter your message in the Comments section.
- In the Notify section, choose your recipient.
- In the Attachment(s) section, click magnifying glass icon to search for file.
- Click Browse.
- Select file.
- Click Open.
- Click Upload.
- Click Insert Checked.
Note: If you click Upload and exit window, but do not click Insert Checked this will only attach it to the ticket. You must make sure the attachment shows up in the Attachment(s) field.
- Click Save when ready to update and send notification.
Note: Look at the message you sent in the feed, you will see who was properly notified and the name of the attachment. This is confirmation the client was sent attachment.
