Changing Screen Orientation

Issue/Question

My screen is suddenly upside down. How do I make it right-side up?

Environment

  • Windows

Cause

The keyboard shortcut CTRL + ALT + Arrow Key may be unintentionally pressed and cause the screen to change orientation.

Resolution

Method 1

  1. Press these keys at the same time: CTRL + ALT +  Up Arrow Key.
  2. If the issue is not resolved, try the shortcut again with another arrow key.

Method 2

  1. Right-click on the Desktop.
  2. Click Screen Resolution.
  3. If you have more than one monitor, click the one that is not correctly oriented.
  4. Set the Orientation select box to Landscape.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. If the issue is resolved, click OK. If the issue is not resolved, try another orientation option.

Method 3

  1. Right-click on the Desktop.
  2. Select Graphic Options.
  3. Hover over Rotation.
  4. Select the rotation you want.
