Resolving Expired or Invalid Website Security Certificate Errors

Issue/Question

When I connect to specific websites, I receive an error:

There is a problem with this website's security certificate.The security certificate presented by this website has expired or is not yet valid.

Cause

• This generally occurs because the computer's date and/or time is incorrect.

Resolution

1. Check your computer's date and time information.
2. If the date and time are correct, then the website owners will need to update their security certificates.
