How do I reset Safari?

Environment

• macOS 10.11 or higher
  • Safari

Resolution

1. Open Safari.
2. Click the Safari menu in the top left corner.
3. Select Clear History....
4. Select all history and click Clear History.
5. Click the Safari menu again and select Preferences.
6. Navigate to the Privacy tab.
7. Click Remove All Website Data....
8. Click Remove Now.
9. Navigate to the Advanced tab.
10. Verify that Show Develop menu in menu bar is checked.
11. Click the Develop menu and select Empty Caches.
