Installing Internet Explorer after Windows Update

Issue/Question

Internet Explorer is no longer on my computer, how do I install it? 

Environment

• Windows 7+
  • Internet Explorer

Cause

After Windows Update, sometimes Internet Explorer can be disabled and Microsoft Edge can be installed in place. 

Resolution

1. Click Start. 
2. Type Windows Features. 
3. Click Turn Windows features on or off. 
4. Find Internet Explorer and select the check-box. 
5. Click OK. 
6. If prompted to reboot the computer, do so to complete installation.
