Creating Local Folders

How do I create local folders in Outlook 2016?

Environment

  • Office 2016
    • Outlook 2016

Resolution

  1. Click the File menu in the upper-left corner.
  2. Click Account Settings then click Account Settings again.
  3. Select the Data Files tab.
  4. Click the Add button.
  5. Give the new data file a name such as Local Folders.
  6. You can now move mail into this folder to be stored locally on your computer
