I am attending an online video conference. What do I need to do to be ready?
Resolution
- Ensure you have a webcam, if you intend on displaying your face, or a microphone, if you intend on speaking. Modern laptops and all-in-one desktops are equipped with these items. Conventional desktops, however, are not. TopperTech offers laptop reservations which include a built-in webcam and microphone.
- Ensure your speakers are working properly. Laptops and most all-in-one desktops are equipped with them. Conventional desktops, however, are not.
- Install any software and/or browser plugins necessary for the conferencing app. If possible, visit the website that will host the conference ahead of time to ensure you have the necessary software and plugins.
