Your Playback Ticket is Not Valid for this Session

Issue/Question

When I try and watch a Mediasite recording I get the following error message: 

Your playback ticket is not valid for this session.

Environment

• Google Chrome version 80+

Cause

Google Chrome version 80 and later introduced a new setting that can affect Mediasite playback. 

Resolution

1. In the address bar of Chrome, type in the following and press Enter: chrome://flags.
2. In the Serach flags search box, type samesite. 
3. Set SameSite by default cookies to Disabled.
4. Set Cookies without SameSite must be secure to Disabled.
5. Completely close Chrome and then reopen the program to complete these changes.
