How do I set up Overall Grade views (i.e. letter or percentage grades) or automatic grade dropping in Blackboard Ultra?

- Log into Blackboard.
- Navigate to the course in question.
- Click Gradebook tab.
- Click (upper-right corner) to access Gradebook Settings.
- Within Overall Grade section, click Manage overall grade settings.
- On calculation details page, you may configure:
- Overall Grade:
- Select desired overall grade display from dropdown.
- If desired, check Show to students to enable students to view their overall grade.
- Click Save.
- Automatic Grade Drop:
Note: Gradebook categories (quizzes, assignments, or discussion boards) must be in use for automatic grade drops.
- Click tab for Points, Weighted, or Advanced (custom grading rules) as needed.
- Click next to item(s) you would like calculated in the students' grades. Item will change color based on:
- Black: Item is enabled for grade calculation.
- Purple: Item is not enabled for grade calculation.
- Click Edit calculation rules for enabled items.
- Within Category Calculation Rule, toggle Enable.
- Configure rest of Assignment Category settings as needed.
- Click Continue to save.
- Click Save to apply all changes to Gradebook.
