Cannot Load Blackboard Website

Why can I load other websites but I cannot load Blackboard? (https://wku.blackboard.com)

Cause

When malware has been installed onto a machine it can alter the proxy settings which can block you from getting to certain webpages.

Resolution

Step 1

The applications below are common malware and are malicious. Check the programs list for other malicious software. These programs should be removed.​

Remove RocketTab

1. ​Open the Control Panel.
2. Under Programs click Uninstall Program.
3. Locate RocketTab.
4. Click Uninstall/Change Program.
5. Go through the uninstall process.
6. Reboot the computer.

Remove Wajam

1. ​Open the Control Panel.
2. Under Programs click Uninstall Program.
3. Locate Wajam.
4. Click Uninstall/Change Program.
5. Go through the uninstall process.
6. Reboot the computer.

Step 2

After the programs have been uninstalled and the machine has been restarted, check the proxy settings. The proxy settings need to be checked to ensure that a proxy has not been enabled. Look at the related articles in this article for the steps to do so.
