Creating a Weighted Total Column

How do I create a weighted total column in Blackboard?

Resolution

  1. Click Create Calculated Column.
  2. Select Weighted Column.
  3. Set the parameters that you would like for the column.
  4. Scroll down to the Select Columns area, and select the appropriate categories or columns that you would like to have calculated by adding them to the Selected Columns area.
  5. After all items have been placed and added to the Selected Columns area, you must set the percentage by entering the appropriate number in the percentage box.
  6. Choose whether to calculate the column as a Running Total.
  7. Adjust options to your preference.
  8. Click Submit.
    Note: Ensure the overall total weight is 100%
