Saving Webpage as a PDF File

Issue/Question

How do I save a webpage as a .pdf in Firefox?

Cause

Firefox does not natively allow a user to save a webpage as a pdf, so this requires a third party program installation to help accomplish this task. CutePDF Writer installs itself as a "printer subsystem". This enables a windows machine to convert a webpage into a savable pdf file through the printer settings. A user will need to install CutePDF Writer before they can save webpages as pdf files.

Resolution

  1. Visit the CutePDF download page.
  2. Click Free Download.
  3. Click Save File.
  4. Navigate to where the file was saved, typically the downloads folder, and double-click on CuteWriter.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Select the I accept the agreement bubble.
  7. Uncheck Set Ask as my default search provider.
  8. Uncheck Set Ask.com as my browser homepage and new tabs page.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Select Skip this and all remaining offers at the very bottom of the installation window.
  11. Click Install.
