Issue/Question
How do I save a webpage as a .pdf in Firefox?
Cause
Firefox does not natively allow a user to save a webpage as a pdf, so this requires a third party program installation to help accomplish this task. CutePDF Writer installs itself as a "printer subsystem". This enables a windows machine to convert a webpage into a savable pdf file through the printer settings. A user will need to install CutePDF Writer before they can save webpages as pdf files.
Resolution
- Visit the CutePDF download page.
- Click Free Download.
- Click Save File.
- Navigate to where the file was saved, typically the downloads folder, and double-click on CuteWriter.
- Click Next.
- Select the I accept the agreement bubble.
- Uncheck Set Ask as my default search provider.
- Uncheck Set Ask.com as my browser homepage and new tabs page.
- Click Next.
- Select Skip this and all remaining offers at the very bottom of the installation window.
- Click Install.
