Connecting to WKU-SECURE (Ubuntu Linux)

How do I register my computer for internet access so I do not have to login when I am on campus?

Note: Once joined to WKU-SECURE, your device will automatically connect whenever you are on WKU's campus for the next 90 days. At the end of that period you have to delete WKU-SECURE and re-join the network for another 90-day period.

  1. Click the Network Connections tray icon.
  2. Select WKU-SECURE.
  3. Select the Wi-Fi Security tab.
  4. Select/Enter the following information:
    • Security: WPA & WPA2 Enterprise
    • Authentication: Protected EAP (PEAP)
    • Username: Your NetID (e.g. bgr12345)
    • Password: Your NetID Password
  5. Click Save....
  6. Accept the security certificate.
  7. Click Connect.
