Issue/Question
I have a Blackboard grade column that is grayed out and I cannot enter grades. When I hover my cursor over the grade space, I see the message, Not Participating.
Environment
Cause
This indicates that the assignment attached to the grade column is marked as a Group Assignment but the groups of students either do not exist or are not correctly assigned.
Resolution
Depending on desired outcome, either adjust the assignment of student groups or change the assignment grade type to Individual.
