Enabling Desktop Icons

Issue/Question

The icon for My Computer / This PC is no longer showing up on my Windows Desktop. 

Environment

• Windows 10

Cause

This feature may have accidentally been disabled or turned off due to a Windows update. 

Resolution

1. Click the Windows  button in the lower left corner. 
2. Click the Settings gear . 
3. Click Personalization. 
4. Select Themes. 
5. Under Related Settings, select Desktop icon settings. 
6. Choose the icons you would like to have on your desktop. 
7. Click Apply. 
8. Click OK.
